Karl Marx Haus
The Museum Karl Marx Haus, Marx's birthplace in Trier has been transformed in a museum. In this building with baroque charm we can learn about the origins of Karl Marx and his family's domestic circumstances. The Museum reveals something of his life, origins and family, his career and fluctuating fortunes, and of the decades of exile in London where he died and is buried. For some people the Museum is like a pilgrimage place, here people come to discover about this iconic figure.
In 2015 Borderline is curating a video programme at the Karl Marx House and developing a collection of objects created by contemporary designers and artists, inspired by the philosopher, to display in the Museum Shop.
